Evangelism as Exiles: Life on Mission as Strangers in our Own Land by Elliot Clark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I was thrilled to receive an electronic copy of this book. Not a Kindle version, but a PDF version. (Notice the only reason the collective reviews on Amazon are not 5 stars is that some reviews gave it 1 star because the formatting is not in the regular Kindle format.) This small book is packed with biblical principles and wisdom, cross-cultural experience, and guidance to navigate the cultural trade winds that are blowing throughout North America. Elliot Clark opens our eyes to the nature of evangelism in the 1st century, the shared experience where evangelical Christianity is a minority religion, and the present and coming changes for those of us in North America. As you make your way through each chapter the timeless truths presented will resonate within you and cause you to consider American evangelism of the past, present, and future. I highly recommend this book for church leaders so that they may be examples and equippers to those under their care.
